Terms of Use

1. About the Platform and Legal Status

Welcome to QuQ Search (accessible via mobile applications, web portals, and associated services, hereinafter the "Platform" or "QuQ").

The Platform is owned and operated by Corbit Technologies Private Limited, an entity incorporated in India (the "Company", "we", "our", or "us").

Intermediary status: The Company operates QuQ as an "Intermediary" under the Information Technology Act, 2000. The Platform functions purely as an online classifieds venue facilitating communication between independent buyers, sellers, employers, and job seekers. The Company does not initiate transmissions, select receivers, or curate user-generated listings.

2. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility

By accessing, downloading, or using the Platform, you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

  • Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into binding agreements. Individuals under 18 may not register or post listings.
  • Jurisdiction: The Platform is intended for use within India.

3. Account Registration and Security

  1. Mobile verification: Account access requires a valid mobile number verified via One-Time Password ("OTP").
  2. Accurate information: Information provided during registration or profile setup must be truthful and belong solely to you. Impersonation of any individual or entity is strictly prohibited.
  3. Account responsibility: You are responsible for all activities, messages, offers, and advertisements originating from your account.

4. Peer-to-Peer Classifieds Model (Caveat Emptor)

  1. Independent parties: QuQ is not an auctioneer, retailer, or escrow agent. We do not inspect, verify, store, own, guarantee, or deliver any product, vehicle, property, electronic device, job position, or service posted on the Platform.
  2. Direct peer transactions: All transactions, negotiations, inspections, and agreements occur directly and exclusively between buyer and seller (or employer and applicant). Inspect items in person in safe public areas and avoid sending advance payments.
  3. No platform escrow: The Platform does not process payments for listed items between users. Any external transfer (cash, bank transfer, or UPI) is conducted entirely at your own risk.

5. Prohibited Content and User Conduct

You agree not to host, upload, modify, publish, transmit, or share any listing or message that:

  1. Belongs to another person without authorization;
  2. Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, harassing, or invasive of another's privacy;
  3. Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or proprietary right;
  4. Deceives or misleads users regarding the origin or truth of information;
  5. Impersonates any person or entity;
  6. Threatens public order, national security, or sovereignty;
  7. Contains software viruses or malicious code;
  8. Violates any applicable Indian law or regulation.

Strictly prohibited items include:

  • Firearms, weapons, and explosives;
  • Illicit narcotics, prescription drugs, and controlled substances;
  • Stolen goods or vehicles with altered identifiers;
  • Protected wildlife, endangered species, and regulated animals;
  • Adult, sexually explicit, or escort services;
  • Counterfeit goods, forged documents, and pirated media.

6. Job Listings & Recruitment Fraud Disclaimer

  1. Zero-fee policy: Recruiters and employers on QuQ are strictly prohibited from demanding registration charges, interview fees, processing costs, or security deposits from job applicants.
  2. Immediate suspension: Any job listing or profile attempting to charge applicants will be terminated immediately.
  3. Applicant precaution: Job seekers must never pay any recruitment or application fee to any party on the Platform.

7. Voluntary Identity Verification (DigiLocker)

  1. Voluntary feature: You may optionally verify your profile using the Government of India's DigiLocker gateway via official document records (such as PAN Card or Driving License).
  2. Meaning of verified badge: A verification badge indicates solely that an account has completed an automated authentication check. It is not an endorsement, guarantee, or background warranty by the Platform regarding the safety or reliability of any transaction.
  3. No storage of sensitive records: QuQ does not store raw identity card files or documents; verification relies on secure, one-way cryptographic tokens.

8. Ad Packages, Extensions & Payments

  1. Free quotas: Accounts are granted limited free ad posting quotas subject to periodic refresh cycles and fair usage.
  2. Paid features: You may optionally purchase validity extensions or featured visibility. On iOS, purchases go through Apple In-App Purchases. On Android and Web, payments go through authorized digital payment gateways.
  3. Non-refundable: Fees for digital ad packages, extensions, or visibility upgrades are strictly non-refundable once activated.

9. Content Moderation, Blocking & Reporting

  1. Reporting & blocking: Report suspicious, inappropriate, or fraudulent listings or users directly within the app, and block any user to cease chat communications.
  2. Content removal: The Platform reserves the right to remove, suspend, or disable any listing or account that violates these Terms or applicable regulations.

10. Account Deletion & Retention

  1. Voluntary deletion: You may request account deletion at any time in app preferences.
  2. Grace period & purge: Deletion requests enter a brief grace period (listings hidden from public view), after which profile data and listings are permanently removed from active systems.
  3. Safety exceptions: Basic records tied to confirmed violations or fraudulent activity may be retained as necessary to prevent platform abuse.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

  1. As-is provision: The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.
  2. Liability cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company and its representatives are not liable for indirect, consequential, or peer-to-peer transaction damages, fraudulent representations by users, or unauthorized communications. Aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to the Platform in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its directors, and staff from any third-party claims, liabilities, or legal expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your listings, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kerala, India.
